Dr. Escobedo was born and raised in Temple, Texas where she attended Temple High School and played on the varsity soccer team. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Prairie View A&M University, then completed her Master of Science in Biology from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU). During her time at EKU, she conducted two years of research for her thesis involving the effects of oxidative stress on neuronal signaling.
Following her passion for helping people smile, Dr. Escobedo received her dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. After dental school, Dr. Escobedo completed a General Practice Residency in Hospital Dentistry at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). There, she received advanced training in providing care for patients with chronic medical conditions and special healthcare needs. Her time at UAB reinforced the compassionate and personalized care she provides to each of her patients.
Now proud to be calling Texas home again, Dr. Escobedo is excited to bring her skills and heart for service to the Tyler community. Outside the office, Dr. Escobedo enjoys hiking, running, exploring new places, and spending time with her beloved chiweenie, Kobi.
Fun fact: Dr. Escobedo was once a student in Dr. Tutt’s AP Biology class at Temple High School!
